Made from the finest, hand-selected, Canadian Merino and Rambouillet fleeces, the Wool Wet Felting Batts are one to two inches thick and are composed of multiple layers of thin fibre web that can be separated and peeled away to achieve your desired felt thickness and weight.

Mulberry silk is the highest quality silk available in the world. It’s produced from the silk made by the Bombyx mori that feeds exclusively on the leaves of white mulberry trees. Because they eat only this diet, the silk that is produced is the finest available anywhere.

It’s also 100% hypoallergenic and odorless, so you don’t have to worry about any strange smells and there is significantly less chance of having an allergic reaction

Our Rami, from Italy, can be used in felting, spinning and paper making. It can combined with linen and cotton or any kind of fibers to make blends. It’s shinier than cotton.Ramie is made from the stalks of the plant called Chinese Nettle (Boehmeria nivea).  Linen is similar, but it is made from the stalks of the flax plant. Ramie has been used for over five thousand years in China, India and  Indonesia, so it’s older than cotton. It was traditionally very popular in Japan, although it is hardly known in North America. The spun threads have an inherent stiffness, like linen, and so can be woven into a lightweight open-weave pattern that is very cool and refreshing in humid climates.  Since silk was reserved for the upper-classes, the working folk in Japan used ramie as their luxury fabric. Recycled silk ribbon yarn is the by-product of the colorful saris that women wear in South Asia. It is the loose ends of saris collected from industrial mills in India . Multicoloured.   100 grams

Extra fine merino wool prefelt (19 microns). Hand dyed mulberry silk. Approximately 10 inches square and many layers, these are made by stretching silk cocoons across a frame. Spin it and ply it with your wool for a lovely sheen, or use it alone for a wonderful silk yarn. Silk hankies may be used in paper-making for wet or nuno felting.

As a matter of fact, it’s produced from Eucalyptus wood which makes it 100% biodegradable. What’s more, its production process (closed cycle) allows 99% of the solvents to be reused, uses less energy and also less water. Like all this wasn’t enough, this fibre is really nice and effective: it’s resistant, pleasant to the touch and also bright and breathable. All you have to do now is try it! DHG Tencel™ Lyocell tops are perfect for felting, both needle and wet, spinning and hand weaving.

Soy fibre is extremely soft and pleasant to the touch. It is also particularly luminous. These characteristics often result in it being nicknamed "vegetable cashmere". Additionally, it should be emphasized that the production of this fibre is highly sustainable in that it is a waste by-product of the processing of the peels and pods from the food industry. The fibre is therefore 100% vegan, natural, biodegradable and renewable. Furthermore, the soy fibre is resistant, with antibacterial properties, low flammability, breathable, permeable to air, fastness to washing and able to block UV radiation. In fact, it is increasingly being regarded as a valid alternative to silk. In addition to it being highly resistant, it also has the capacity to absorb and remove moisture from the wearer's skin. Tops weight: about 23 g/m - 0.81 oz/yd Tops length: about 4 m - 4.3 yd per 100 g - 3.5 oz This very special fibre is made by integrating an incredibly fine powder made from natural pearls during the production process of the viscose. In this way, the pearl particles completely permeate into the fibre while also covering the entire external surface. The result of this is a smooth, soft, fresh fibre complete with a silky sheen. The pearl fibre also has other features to be discovered: it is naturally antibacterial and protects the wearer from UVA rays. For all these reasons mentioned, we highly recommend combining it with other fibres to create a blend with that extra touch! This intriguing fibre is delicate and its appearance luminous, so much so that it could be considered an excellent vegan alternative to silk. It’s also much cheaper too!
